Review of 20th Century Women (2016) by Lincoln K — 14 Jan 2017
This was a terrific film featuring wonderful performances from the three women in the cast, Annette Benning, Greta Gerwig and Elle Fanning as well as the teenage boy that is at the center of the film. They all draw such fascinating fully formed characters that you just get swept up in their lives for the time we spend with them.
The film does a good job of capturing its late 70s timeframe with the growing punk scene and emerging feminism.. but also seems timeless in the way the characters interact. It is very funny at moments and I recommend this film highly.
