Review of 20th Century Women (2016) by Cindi B — 25 Jan 2017
Rarely does a film show such respect for its characters and the multilayered events that create them. An equal respect is shown for the audience as well, so we are spared from syrup but still shown beauty, heartbreak but still shown drama.
The faces in this film are pure and authentically beautiful and I would see it again just to watch Bening's face. A lovely lovely film about the bitter-sweetness of life.
