Review of 20th Century Women (2016) by Adrian S — 13 Feb 2017
A beautiful and masterfully-directed ode to the many women in our lives. Filled with wise aphorisms and witty repartee, 20th Century Women is essential watch for the intellect who loves his/her films intelligently-scripted and compellingly-acted.
This is clearly thespian Annette Bening's showboating moment and she clearly milks the role for what it's worth. She's at the peak of her craft and it's a crying shame she isn't nominated for the Oscars.
Indie darlings Elle Fanning and Greta Gerwig are also utterly terrific. This is director Mike Mills' finest hour.
