An inspirational story with solid performances from its ensemble cast. Annette Bening is great as Dorothea, a struggling single mother trying to raise her son, Jamie, as he experiences his teen years and becomes an adult.
Mike Mills' film shows us that you don't necessarily need a man to raise another man and proves that women are capable of anything.
