Review of 2046 (2004) by Julian C — 09 Mar 2008
Fragmented and unfocused, the movie is nevertheless a fascinating account of a man who ruminates on his inability to forget a lost love, and his self-destructive reaction to that. Melancholic and beautiful to behold, with a stellar performance from Zhang Ziyi, whom I previously thought she can't act.
