Review of 2046 (2004) by Jess K — 13 May 2008
Like most passionate works of long fiction 2046 is sprawling, flawed and frustrating. However, within its wandering story, as distant from itself as its broken characters are from each other, there is beauty and truth.
Its observations on love and art are at times so accurate, it feels almost plagiarized from my own sheltered secrets and whispered regrets.
