Part of the appeal of this film is its connection to In the Mood for Love. I loved the evolution of Chow and how his romantic disfunction creates this ripple effect among all these completely different women.
While I understand the reasoning for the disjointed nature of the film, I felt it detracted enough from making it as good as In the Mood for Love.
