Review of 2046 (2004) by Robert E — 08 Nov 2009
I like this way more than 'In the Mood for Love.' It's more heartfelt, less about the music, sad and yet cool, complex in character and story, and it's an incredible payoff as the last in WKW's love trilogy.
Go ahead and see them in any order you want. I just think it has much more depth than 'Mood' and goes in a completely different direction which I totally love. For those that think it too similar to 'Mood,' seriously it's such a different story it's like in a different universe.
'Days' was young and dangerous and the beginning of a ladykiller, 'Mood' was a love story, and '2046' is the aftermath.
