Review of 2016: Obama's America (2012) by Sarah J — 04 Oct 2012
I am a student of political science, even now delving deeper into what it means to live within a democracy. One important aspect of any democracy is the allowance of all citizens to freely express their views and opinions, no matter how extreme or abstract. "Obama's America" serves as the voice and expression of Barack's views and the possible motivations behind his policies. It is an eye opener to see possible connections between Barack's past and his current fiscal and social policies. Consequently, through the cataloging of evidence from Barack's past, the director was able to make predictions upon future policies and decisions of the president, of which some have already come to pass.
This movie must be viewed critically, realizing that any evidence must fall in line with political science theory which looks at influences of past instances to find possible consequences or effects in modern society. From the evidence provided, it would be possible for even the least knowledgeable viewer to make predictions about the effects of Barack's policies upon America's future. All in all, very well put together and worth watching.
