Before watching this movie I held out some hope that John Cusack could deliver something respectable. Typically expectations for diaster films are limited, fully acknowledging they are simply to be entertaining.

Unfortunately, the dialog is so poor, predicable, and so run of the mill ordinary I could hardly stand the first half hour. One liners inserted for comic relief are so cheesy and fall completely flat.

After the first thirty minutes, I realized there was yet another two hours of this, and began praying for the apocalypse.
