Another big budget disaster movie from the makers of Independance Day and Day After Tomorrow so you know exactly what you're going to get and it's great fun! The wonderful effects are top notch but once again mean the characters are pushed to a supporting role.

John Cusack, who I've always liked since one of my favourite films of all time Grosse Pointe Blank, has a blast as the star closely followed by Chiwetel Eyifor. Plot wise you have to suspend belief as major disasters happen on screen whilst the stars always manage to escape it in time! Also, were the Mayans right in their prediction? We'll find out in 3 years time!!!
