Review of 2010 (1984) by Ezequiel F — 05 Jul 2008
It's well done. It's actually a damn god sci-fi film (aside from the horrible 10 or so minutes spend with Roy Scheider at his dolphin infested home...really weak emotional string pulling there) it just happens to follow behind 2001. And the story is very intrinsically tied in to Kubrick's classic. It's well fucking shot and has some great performances and the reintroduction of HAL-9000 and especially DAVE BOWMAN is very well done. It's only problem is it's a damn good average sci-fi film following THE CLASSIC SCI-FI FILM.
...I want to go to Europa.
