Review of 2010 (1984) by Erik G — 18 Jan 2012
Having enjoyed '2001', I knew that watching '2010' would be as great as its predecessor for its possibilities of space travel. Even so, while the drama remained both the action and dialogue grew as not to have boredom for some people.
The monoliths remain as I'm understanding how it is possible that they could be key factors of evolution. Now that 'Star Wars' already arrived in the '70s sound in what is supposed to be the empty vacuum of space, including the rocket blasts, is now heard.
As with 2001, I knew 2010 is another sci-fi film inaccurately telling the future with the still surviving Soviet Union in an extended Cold War with the United States - who would've thought the former would collapse in 1991 as not to bring up old-fashioned Yankee vs.
(formerly) Commie grudges right now? Even though I wanted the story to be as longer as the last film and maybe continue the odyssey in the future, I'm amazed how nations in the time of conflict can resolve their differences in space as a way to achieve lasting peace.
My gosh, with everything great that I mentioned here, '2010' is definitely full of stars.
