Review of 2001 Maniacs (2005) by Chris K — 16 Jan 2005
I was at the Wednesday screening of 2001 Maniacs and the movie will be huge!
Those who are fans of the exploitation genre will be satisfied that director Tim Sullivan and the guys at Raw Nerve and Bloodworks have made a film the likes of which has not been seen since the 1960's.
Robert Englund presides brilliantly over a town of demonic murdering Southerners. There is wall to wall t&a, and some of the most audacious murder gags ever filmed. The camera work is top notch. The movie is funny, and as politically incorrect as anything ever filmed. Roper and Ebert will choke on their cornflakes when they see this.
