Review of 2001 Maniacs (2005) by Jimmie H — 12 Aug 2009
If you're looking for a serious horror movie, look elsewhere. This is, from start to finish, a sick, twisted, hilarious, gory good time. This can best be described as slapstick gore. Lots of humor, lots of gore.
In this film, murder is basically the punchline to the movie's jokes. Robert Englund, who is actually an extremely talented actor, understands this genre, and what it takes to make it work. Giuseppe Andrews and Lin Shaye nail their parts as well.
This is a bloody, gory, hilarious good time.
