Review of 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) by Justin R — 20 Jul 2014
Still visually stunning to this day, Stanley Kubrick's "2001: A Space Odyssey" is an absolute masterpiece and it is quite possibly the greatest film ever made. 2001 benefits from it's breathtaking scenery, magnificent direction, ominous atmosphere, phenomenal acting and it's hypnotic soundtrack.
Though it isn't everyone's cup of tea, this is a very important film that raises questions regarding the origin of life, the secrets of the universe, the birth of mankind and it's advancement to the next stage of evolution.
To some it will rub off as a pretentious bore, to others it will come as one of the greatest films in history.
