Review of 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) by Scottie T — 13 May 2015
2001: A Space Odessey! I love Stanley Kubrick. He is easily he makes the best movies ever. literally, no one is better than Stanley Kubrick. and I didn't really like this movie. Maybe it's because I was a little distracted from the movie, but the reason I was distracted is because the movie didn't drag me in, I didn't give a fuck what happened to the characters, or what were going to happen to the characters.
The only good thing about this movie is the Direction, The Cinematogrophy and the score. I have respect for all of those things and nothing else, thats why the movie only gets a 3, also, this movie felt timeless when I watched it.
a total achievment in cinema, but it's so, fucking boring oh my god, I turned it off. I felt disrespectful doing that to stanley, so I turned the tv back on, about 15 mimutes later I turned it off, then I said I gotta finish this movie, I can't do this.
so I turned it on, 5 minutes later I started skipping scenes to get through the movie faster and I just didnt enjoy it and don't want to watch again, but I might have too. and that 20 opening minutes are fucking complete bull shit like oh my god, are you kidding me stanley.
im just glad everything after 2001 was fucking amazing. I wouldnt reccomend it to alot of people. I didnt like it. I am just giving it a 3 because of all its brilliant technical side and that . mpresses me, but nothing else does.
