Review of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (1954) by Jeff B — 19 Aug 2008
Excellent movie, I loved everything about this. The colors and visuals were amazing and the entire cast was perfect. James Mason, Paul Lukas, Kirk Douglas, Peter Lorre, they all ruled. Great music and good action, I'm so glad I finally saw this.
My only tiny flaw with the film was when they got the island with the cannibals, it seemed underwritten and it happened too quickly. But I realize it needed to be in the film in order to get to the next point in the story.
But nevertheless, this was a great adventure film and a lot of fun.
