Review of 20,000 Days on Earth (2014) by Linda P — 15 Aug 2014
So much more than a documentary! This is a rare glimpse into the mind of a unique and enduring modern artist.. It is an intimate look at the man and his musical history, as well as the process that he follows while creating an album and tour. It was worth it alone for the brief conversation between Nick Cave and Blixa Bargeld, in which Blixa explains why he left The Bad Seeds over a decade ago.
20,000 Days also features many clever, visually impressive shots, and astutely paced timing. All in all, a very impressive film.
