Review of 200 Cigarettes (1999) by John S — 05 Sep 2008
This movie seems like it is headed somewhere. Fueled by a stellar cast, it is essentially a string of vignettes set to culminate at one central party. But then...the film ends. Characters that never met each other end up together (in, of all things, snapshot narration). In the end, the film is essentially an episode of MTV's UNDRESSED without the satisfying ending.
Hats off for a balsy line, uttered by who else but Courtney Love: I dare you to fuck me. All things considered, that has to be the name of someone's blog, right?
