Review of 20 Feet from Stardom (2013) by John H — 12 Jul 2013
Well worth the wait and a must see for a theater with a good sound system. Twenty Feet from Stardom does a deep history of back singers and some of their attempts to make the transition to the center microphone.
Which is not say that there aren't slow spots and blips in the narrative that muddle the pacing. There's a place for this film right next to backup musicians film Standing in the Shadows of Motown.
