When I saw the commercial for this, I said "oh hell no, Denzel has sold out!" Swore I wouldn't watch it. But damn, I love Denzel, and when I saw it today on the library shelf, I grabbed it.
And I'm glad I did! It was a good flick! The drug cartel vs. the DEA vs. the Navy vs. the CIA, with 2 guys in the middle and $42 million! Paula Patton is smokin' hot, Edward James is perfectly cast, Bill Paxton owns every scene he is in, and there's even a Fred Ward sighting (go Remo!)! I also liked the costuming of Olmos and Washington - very slick and cool! And the bass line in the movie score is pretty tight too! Take it to heart, never rob a bank across from a diner with the best donuts in three counties!
