This was a typical action film. I liked it, there were some funny parts, the filming was well done (the camera angles in a lot of actions films drive me crazy), and the acting was good. I didn't like the love interest in the movie, it was simply irritating. There was a storyline which was a bonus, a lot of these movies skip that aspect. I thought Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington made a good team, their chemistry was very reminisce of Bad Boys. I've seen better but this was a nice addition to the genres.
Incase you wanted a boys persecutive - both my kids and my husband loved it.
