I enjoyed this movie. I think both Wahlberg & Washington had great chemistry together as friends/rivals pitted against one another to uncover the truth and redeem themselves. I wasn't sold on Bill Paxton's character but he grew on me toward the end.
Marsden as a bad guy was also an interesting choice. I think Edward James Olmos portrayed a drug lord very well. I was disappointed in Paula Patton's character and felt she was only there to provide a female presence.
She wasn't relevant to the story and was killed off anyway. Overall, this was a good movie.
