This movie has great aspirations, but ultimately, it works too hard to be too cool. There's never a chance for Washington and Wahlberg to stop being good individual actors, and start being a team. The rest of the movie moves at a "hurry up and wait" pace, which means if they had allowed them to be more of a team, the trip to the movie's final destination would've been much smoother.
