Review of 2 Days in Paris (2007) by Phil C — 21 Jun 2008
The indie crowd will love this 'real' take on the rocky road of love. Those that like their comedy straight-up and simple will hate it. I found myself taking to Goldberg's 'where-the-hell-am-I?' tone as he discovers that his French girlfriend (Delpy) has rather too any skeletons in her Parisian closet than he'd like.
Delpy should be commended for her visual flair and - at times - sharp dialogue (although I imagine much of it is ad-libbed) but I ended up despising her character. I am sure this was not her intention so maybe she overcooked this a little.
