Review of 2 Days in Paris (2007) by Gautam H — 28 Jun 2008
Very funny film. Kind of "Lost in Translation"-ish but I didn't mind. The dialogue had that witty sarcastic indie-style to it, but was interesting in how it arguments and conversations would go on longer than expected, almost too close to reality.
Lots of hilariously subtle moments and short scenes that had me crackin up throughout. One thought that bothers me is that I've seen maybe only 6 or7 indie flicks so far and they all seem to have the same comedic style and indie storytelling vibe to them.
Maybe it's just me or coincidence. Hopefully there are many more out there to prove me wrong. Oh also, the political views were kind of just barfed all over that screenplay a little.
