Review of 1941 (1941) by Tuco . — 11 Aug 2007
I don't really care what critics or anyone else thought, I saw this at the drive-in as a youngin' and, sure it has its' faults, but I really enjoyed it. It's like a live action cartoon with some pretty funny characters.
For me, the weakest point in the movie is the casting of John Belushi. He's just not very funny in it. Since his parts are very small, it doesn't really bother me. The director's cut actually does make the movie funnier.
Memories of Robert Stack playing a hard-nosed general, who just wants to sit and enjoy a screening of Dumbo, will stay with me for a long time.
