Review of 1941 (1941) by David H — 19 Dec 2007
Critics panned this movie when it was released, probably due to it being a bit campy, plus everyone had high expectations for it, as Belushi and Ackroyd were peaking. But this fast-paced comedy about pre-WWII paranoia and jitters in California has some of the best slapstick and character personas for its day.
..and still remains my third-favorite Belushi film (behind "Continental Divide" and "The Blues Brothers").
