Review of 1917 (2019) by Loyolaprop1 — 31 Dec 2019
I don’t know if you’ll find a feature film that more properly captures the carnage left behind by trench warfare. The images are haunting and convey the horror of war more than any movie I can remember.
Some complain the story is simple, but it really doesn’t need to be more complicated. The visuals are masterfully achieved, but I’m not sure the camera technique used was necessary or particularly affective.
