1776.

1776 is one of the funniest musicals you'll ever watch. From funny songs, to funny line's left and right. 1776 starts off with John Adams (William Daniels) entering the Continental Congress, straightening up the (at the moment) lazy, kicked back congressmen. "I have come to the conclusion that 1 useless man is called a disgrace, that 2 are called a law firm, and that 3 or more become a congress! And by God I have had this congress! For 10 years King George and his parlament have gulled cullied and diddled these colonies with his illegal taxes! Stands Acts, Townshend Acts, Sugar acts, TEA acts! And when we dared stand up like men they have stopped our trade, seized our ships, blockaded our ports, burned our towns and spilled our blood! And still this congress refuses to grant any of my proposal's on independence, even so much the courtesy of open debate! Good God what in hell are you waiting for!?" and then we break into the first funny song, "Sit down John! Sit down John! For God's sake John, sit down!".

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------.

Throughout the movie, we meet Adam's sweetheart Abigale, run into the sharp witted Benjamin Franklin...you know...the inventor of the stove...and we run into even more people, like John Dickinson from Pennsylvania (Die Hard Liberal...or um....yea....He doesn't have a problem with England), and Edward Ruteledge from South Carolina (He always speaks for North Carolina..."North Carolina respectfully yeilds to South Carolina"), we also meet Anothy Hopkins, the biggest drunk in congress, ever "McNair! Get me some rum!". We also run into Congressional Custodian Andrew McNair..

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------.

The most comedic weird song in the whole movie that's way overdone but the fact that it's overdone makes it soo funny. "MY name is Richard Henrey Lee, Virginia is my home! My Name Is Richard Henrey Lee Virginia is my home! And may my houses turn to glue if I can't deliver unto you the resoulution on Idependencey! For I am FFV, The first Family in the souvreign colony of Virginia! Yea the FFV, The oldest family in the oldest colony in America!".

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------.

Well I don't want to give it all away. But it's funny, and if you haven't seen it and like musicals, go to a movie store, and see if you can rent the 1776 DVD..
