Review of 16 Blocks (2006) by Westleigh Q — 19 Jun 2009
What starts as a routine errand for an aged cop ends up becoming a real-time race against the clock adventure. Bruce WIllis has to escort Mos Def to the courthouse 16 blocks away so he can testify. The only problem is that he is ablout to testify against all of Bruce Willis's cop friends.
So now he must decide who to help before time runs out. I thought David Morse was the real star of this film, Mos Def's voice was just annoying and Bruce Willis was pretty dull. But the movie itself is entertaining and sort of has a 24 feel to it with the real-time pace.
Fans of Bruce Willis will enjoy.
