Review of 16 Blocks (2006) by Zachary S — 06 Dec 2009
It hurts to see fine actors age, but sometimes they hang on to their starpower. Bruce Willis isn't what he used to be, but he did a decent job here. I was really glad to see Mos Def get a shot at a main role like this one, the chemistry between the two was surprisingly good.
The plot itself was pretty bland though. A few minor twists here and there but there was alot more they could have done to raise the stakes of the plot. The action scenes were decent, but nothing memorable.
Pretty run-off-the-mill film overall.
