Review of 16 Blocks (2006) by Naghma R — 27 Mar 2010
Really good movie. Mos Def played an excellent role. I appreciate cops, the work they do, and that they put their lives on the line every day. On the other hand, I really don't like crooked cops. This movie portrayed a good example of what can happen to cops who stick to 'the code' and not do the right thing.
It was great how Willis taped his conversation with Morse right before he went to the court house floor. Even though MacDonald seemed to believe what Willis said, playing the recording was the icing on the cake.
Eddie the baker's pictures and letter were adorable! He not only sent Willis a bday cake, but he named his bakery after both of them, sweet! "I put my name first cause I do all the work..." LOL Quite an impressive movie.
