Review of 16 Blocks (2006) by Andrew C — 01 Jan 2011
This movie was really close to being much better than average but ultimately it just missed where other similar movies (Gauntlet, Midnight Run) hit the mark. Mos Def delivers a convincing but potentially irritating performance as the convict being transported by Bruce Willis' usual character (faulty hero).
The script and plot didn't give these actors much to work with though so we're left with bad guys who can't shoot straight (shocker!). 5/16/9.
