This film wants to be a clever criticism of the American obsession with violence and of the media, but it slowly but surely drifts into a plain and none too exciting bloodfest. The critique goes wrong and it is not even a good action film instead.
Media criticism has been done much better (though also much more violent) by movies like Natural Born Killers.
