Review of 1492: Conquest of Paradise (1992) by Nawie M — 08 Mar 2009
I've got a hard time seeing how this amazing movie could get so low a rating as it has.
Is it because of Gèrard Depardieu accent? If so then it is really sad how American Public Judges the European Actors.
Gerard Depardieu plays an excellent part as Christopher Columbus, and really shows his emotions well when they at last find land after weeks of sailing. Vangelis' music (1492: Conquest of Paradise) also adds the correct atmosphere in moments of suspense and happiness.
