Review of 1492: Conquest of Paradise (1992) by Doug Z — 05 Sep 2007
Alas Ridley Scott's ship runs aground in the shallows of an uber-lavish visual fest. Depardieu's English was so not up to the role it is actually difficult to understand him throughout. Bolt's script might have made more sense if you could have heard it but no characters engaged and it just seemed a string of beautiful scenes unconnected.
