Review of 1408 (2007) by David A — 15 Jan 2016
Not terrifying as I hope, but thankfully the movie didn't dive into a gore fest like every other horror flick that recently came out. "1408" is a psychological thriller that grabs you by the throat and never lets go.
John Cusack shines in his role as the depressed, heartbroken writer trying to survive the cruelty of his paranormal antagonist from breaking him inside and out. He was believable and relatable from the beginning of the movie till the end.
Too bad the filmmakers didn't explored the concept more or fixed their editing issues. Every shot feels their rushed or unevenly cut.
