This film works as horror but I can't really talk about why without spoiling one of the best parts of the film. So, I'm just going to mention that this seems to be another example of protagonist who is an atheist who yells at God and is only atheist because something in life convinced him in the non-existence of God/some form of Maltheism.
Something that always seems like really lazy writing.
