Review of 1408 (2007) by Barry H — 15 Mar 2016
1408 reminded me of old-school Twilight Zone, in a good way. I thought the thrills were fun and effective, and Jackson is great. Although I'm familiar with the story this is based on, the tone of the movie seems more authentic to King's writing style than most adaptations of his work.
Maybe it's a little too long, with an extended false ending and some emotional stuff that didn't quite work for me, but I definitely had a good time.
