Review of 14 Blades (2010) by Pedro M — 25 Sep 2010
I must say, Donnie Yen gets better as he ages. I haven't seen a Chinese film for years and I was glad to see his familiar face still hanging around the industry. He is one of the good ones...and so was Damian Lau, Sammo Hung, Ma Wu, and Kuan-Tai Chen.
..they were excellent with their parts (unlike majority of the younger batch (Kate Tsui, Chun Wu, Yuwu Qi...their acting were so mediocre). The storyline was good. But it wouldn't have been was it was if it wasn't for Donnie Yen.
I would recommend this film. This is actual a seriously budgeted film with serious actors in it in contrast to a lot of the trashy Hong Kong film by unknown actors nowadays in Asia.
