So I heard about the standing ovation it got at the New York Film Festival & I also like Ava DuVernay's directing so was very intrigued for this. I can't tell you enough how thought provoking, eye opening & just how relevant this movie is.

I've said before Documentaries aren't really my favorite genre of movies, but sometimes some come along that are just too important to miss out on. This is one of them. Not only does it have history (my favorite topic) but has information that helped me understand what's going on in our country now a little more.

During for me a very sickening, scary election, this film taught me a little bit more about politics & policies so grateful for that. To be honest though, for me it didn't all flow perfectly & lost interest in the middle a bit.

That could just be because I'm not a big Documentary fan. But overall it was still done well. I cried. I got mad. I learned. I'm hoping it gets a Oscar nomination. I recommend it, it's currently on Netflix.

Check it out, please.
