Review of 13 Sins (2014) by Justin O — 13 Aug 2014
Wasn't expecting much from this but it was a good enough thriller. Elliot has just been fired from his job, has a fiance he is suppose to marry soon, a handicapped brother to look after and a bigot bastard of a father he recently finds out will be evicted from his family home, you could say Elliot is 'down on his luck', that is until he gets a mystery phone call while stopped at a red light telling him he can win $1000 if he swats the fly that is bothering him.
They know his every movement and he is sucked into a game of 13 challenges, each earning him money, each as risky as the one before it. There's some nice gory moments, the challenges are very risqué and quite depraved and the main actor carries himself quite well with a supporting cast that makes up the numbers.
It's a decent movie for a lazy night in and you should check it out.
