Review of 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi (2016) by J H — 06 Feb 2016
This was an excellent movie. I am certain that it truly helped me follow this particular script style having been exposed to an earlier discussion about it by some involved in its making. From my understanding, the movie is true to life--with just a few questioning some parts of it.
For instance, there is some dispute as to who called for the stand down. This should be a teaching film (if not already used by such groups as the Army War College) in lessons learned regarding chain of command and actions to be taken when there is such an admixture of factors (agencies, locals, contractors, etc.
) that come to bear. The film bears witness to what total chaos can look like. I would like to know how the situation could have been handled better? I hope to have my unqualified opinions about a better solution addressed someday.
Dragging Ms. Clinton on the Hill to testify for hours and hours, does little to answer the question.
