Review of 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi (2016) by Ryan H — 05 Sep 2016
It's definitely more restrained than literally all of Michael Bay's previous efforts, but given the important story surrounding the film, it wasn't as powerful and impactful as I hoped it would've been.
the cast is fantastic, with John Krasinski being the real standout. it has beautiful cinematography and some great action scenes, but I just couldn't help but feel a little underwhelmed by the end.
it's definitely better than most of Bay's efforts, I just wasn't affected by it as much as I was hoping.
