Review of 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi (2016) by Andre T — 04 Jul 2016
Difficult movie to judge. It does reflects the reality of the events but in a very para-military way...but then the film can be taken from their point of view. The story has it's dull and long moments, so I skipped all the long personal moments.
Because of that, it's not a documentary. The acting is unequal but intense during stressing times. FX, sounds are good. Bay is in it's element, but does the film really feels right. I think the delays and the lack of responses from other parties is not well displayed in the story.
It makes the story more weak because you feel that something went wrong there, but it's almost not told...A real doc film should be necessary eventually.
