Review of 13 Going on 30 (2004) by Rosa K — 28 Sep 2012
Recieved this as a birthday gift request. This movie is well thought out and it looks like the producers put a lot of thought into this movie, without making the eighties seem like it is spoofed. I like the story line and the wish that Jenna Rink gets til the end of the film. A must see if you were alive in the eighties.
I also liked the audio commentaries to this movie, it sounds like the producers tried really hard to come up with a good story line and that it is touching to hear that from the commentaries that back in the eighties there were no cell phones along with other modern day things that we take for granted in the present day. I liked the fact that the producers mentioned that the present day is a scary place and that we often wish for the simple times that we had in the eighties, (I think that hearing this touched my heart) The eighties does bring back a nostalgic feel to it, that is way those who were alive in the eighties are touched by anything they read or see about the eighties is Nostalgic!
