Review of 13 Assassins (2010) by Jake H — 03 Aug 2011
Beautifully shot and with one of the best final acts that I can remember in awhile, "13 Assassins" will please not only fans of the samurai genre, but even some open-minded viewers who are not.
Still cluttered with the corny dialogue and characters found in too many Asian films, this film is not the classic masterpiece some are declaring it. Still, once the final battle commences, the film's weaknesses will be wiped from the film like blood from the blade of a sword.
After that, it's as close to a perfect execution as possible.
