13 Assassins is an excellent samurai movie. If swordfighting is what you´re after, this is it - an hour long showdown at the end is incredible. What drags the movie down is the blatant sadism used to build antipathy for the bad guy - hardly suttle.
The end could also seen a favourable re-edit.
